In appreciation and in memory of Tom Finn, March 24, 2009

It is with great sadness that I let you know that Tom Finn died this past Sunday surrounded by his family. As many of you know, Tom valiantly battled cancer for more than two years. Despite his declining health, he continued to teach estimating classes at our office in Marlborough and to support his clients.

Tom joined United Solutions in 1997 and quickly applied his expertise as an estimator to his role as a consultant. Because of Tom’s real world experience and his desire to help his clients succeed, he easily became a valued and highly respected member of the United Solutions’ consulting team. Tom always performed his duties with utmost professionalism and dedication to his clients. He was also just a really nice guy. Upon hearing of Tom’s death, another member of our consulting team noted, “Tom was truly one of the most decent and gentle people I’ve met in my life.”

Tom and his wife, Trudi, were avid campers and he often entertained us with stories of their camping adventures. He was devoted to his children and was a doting grandfather and often proudly showed pictures of his two grandchildren to us. He liked nothing more than sharing ice cream with them. I know I speak for all of United Solutions when I say we lost a valued employee, but more importantly, a friend.
